From Downhill Trails to the Pulpit: Paul Jones Shares His Story This Sunday
A Community Built on Wheels and Welcome
Many of you may have noticed the growing buzz of mountain bikes rolling through Tongwynlais lately - and behind much of that energy is our own Paul Jones. Paul has been instrumental in bringing together a lively community of mountain bikers, organising fun rides, downhill sessions, and relaxed get-togethers over a beer afterwards.
What started as a shared love of the trails has grown into something more: a genuine community of people encouraging one another, pushing their limits, and enjoying good company along the way. It's a wonderful reminder that fellowship can be found in all sorts of places - not just within our church walls, but on hillsides, forest tracks, and everywhere in between.
Crashes, Lessons, and Faith
This Sunday, we're excited to welcome Paul to share his story with the congregation. True to form, he won't be shying away from the bumps along the way - quite literally. Paul will be talking about his crashes, both on and off the bike, and what he's learned through the falls, the recoveries, and the moments of getting back up again.
There's something powerful about hearing how faith intersects with everyday passions and setbacks. Whether you've ever ridden a bike or not, Paul's reflections promise to be honest, encouraging, and full of good humour.
Join Us This Sunday
We hope you'll come along to hear Paul speak. It's a great opportunity to celebrate the ways our community connects beyond Sunday mornings, and to be reminded that every crash - whether on a mountain trail or in life - can be part of a bigger story of grace and resilience.
All are welcome, whether you're a fellow biker, a curious newcomer, or simply looking for an encouraging word this weekend.
