GraveTalk: A Safe Space to Talk About Life, Death and Everything In Between

What is GraveTalk?

Death is a subject many of us find hard to talk about, yet it touches every single one of us. That's why Ainon hosts GraveTalk, a welcoming and informal gathering where people can talk openly about death, dying, and funerals in a relaxed and supportive environment.

GraveTalk sessions run every second Saturday of the month, from 10am to 12pm, and are open to absolutely everyone — whether you attend church regularly or not at all, you just need to be curious to join the conversation.

How It Works

Each session uses simple prompt cards to gently guide discussion. There are no right or wrong answers — just an opportunity to listen, share, and reflect at your own pace. Topics that might come up include:

  • What matters most to us in life
  • Thoughts and feelings about dying
  • Wishes for our own funerals
  • Personal experiences of loss and grief

Conversations are led with care and sensitivity, and no one is ever pressured to share more than they feel comfortable with. Many people find it a relief to talk about these things openly, often for the first time.

Why It Matters

Talking about death doesn't have to be morbid or frightening — in fact, many who attend GraveTalk find it life-affirming. It can bring clarity, comfort, and even laughter, as people share stories and reflect on what truly matters. It's also a chance to build community and support one another through some of life's most difficult questions.
