Paws for Praise: Doggy Church Comes to Ainon!
Get Ready to Fetch Your Faith!
We are delighted (and a little excited!) to announce that Doggy Church is coming to Ainon Baptist Church. This special, family-and-furry-friend-friendly gathering invites you to bring your beloved canine companions along for a joyful time of worship, fellowship, and fun.
Who says praise has to be quiet? At Doggy Church, we'll be celebrating God's love for all creatures great and small, with a service that welcomes a bit of howling, barking, and tail-wagging alongside our hymns and prayers. After all, the Bible tells us that all creation praises the Lord — and our four-legged friends are more than ready to join in!
What to Expect
- A short, dog-friendly worship service with music, prayer, and a message celebrating God's creation
- Time for dogs (and their humans) to mingle and make new friends
- Photo opportunities to capture your pup in their Sunday best
- Treats for well-behaved dogs (and maybe a biscuit or two for the humans too!)
A Few Housekeeping Notes
- Please bring your dog on a lead and ensure they're comfortable in group settings
- Water bowls will be provided, but feel free to bring your own
- As always, please be considerate of others attending who may have allergies or a nervousness around dogs
Why Doggy Church?
Dogs bring immense joy to our lives, and this event is a wonderful way to celebrate the bonds we share with our pets while opening our doors—quite literally—to new members of our church family, both two-legged and four. It's also a lovely opportunity to welcome neighbours and friends who might not usually step into a church, but who would happily walk through the doors with their dog by their side.
We can't wait to see wagging tails and hear joyful barks filling the sanctuary (or garden, weather depending!). Mark it in your diary, grab the lead, and get ready for a Puptastic time of worship unlike any other.
All are welcome—dogs included!
